Seventeen years after Sonata - May 16, 2025

Post by allegrita »

Oops, I missed the anniversary of Sonata by a few days. :blushing: It has been busy around Casa Allegrita lately, with senior activities (my eldest granddaughter is graduating!) and a big dance show that both granddaughters are performing in, coming up on Friday, and a bunch of other stuff. But I should have remembered! :slaphead: Sorry, Mick. :rose:

Life goes on. Every year there are fewer of us participating regularly. And now moonlightforever is about to close its virtual doors. :Mickangel: Vamps may not change, but the world changes around them. :sigh:

But as long as you all want to visit, this board will be here if I have anything to say about it. I like hanging around here, even if it isn't as lively as it once was. I like rereading my favorite fic, and I still find new stuff after all these years. I love watching videos and rereading interesting discussions about locations and music and philosophy. And I love reading what you're up to.

I love Moonlight, and this community, and I enjoy reliving the memories of all the creativity and passion and work and thought that went into creating this place. So I'll be here for the foreseeable future. :ghug:

Love

This. All of it.

I forgot. I should have remembered. At times I do miss the way it was, but I'm so comforted by the constancy of this place. :hearts: :ghug: I love that I can still hear the "voices" here that I so miss.

The Sonata anniversary was always a sad one for me. It was filled with "what ifs" and 'if onlys" - and what, at the time, seemed like heart-wrenching goodbyes. But we never really did say goodbye. We drew closer together and filled in the blanks and went on new adventures with our vamps and with one another. So did that door ever really close? :rose:

Thank you, Alle - for always having a light on for us.

And we love you for keeping this haven available to us, warm and comfy. :ghug:

And 17 years since Sonata aired?? Incredible. :gasp: I remember we were away then, and I watched it in our hotel room. Not how I wanted Moonlight to end, but an ending that was satisfying enough. And it led to so many "after the door closed" stories! :hearts:

Love to you all, both our ML stars and MLA members.
