In all the years I have enjoyed this series of photos...I never noticed it wasn't the RING.

Good catch Lucy. Now that I own one of the rings I was just about to say the underside of that ring looked different. Now that I look at the top side in the video that is definitely a different ring...to bad he's so fidgety in that interview we couldn't get a closer look. But the ring profile is definitely flatter then the one we all know. My guess this is finished footage reused from the original pilot and promo (interview with a vampire) hence the different ring. We know there are smatterings of the unaired episode scenes throughout the finished Moonlight we got.




Although it is hard to tell I don't see any sign of Mick's necklace....makes me wonder if they still hadn't come to a decision on just how much jewelry Mick would wear before the recast and reshoot.

According to Trevor, the Interview segment was not originally intended to be anything but a promo. Adding it to the beginning of episode 1 was a late decision, as a sort of "vampire rules" exposition. Interview Mick is much more like Alex than the "real" Mick we see waking up and having breakfast... but then again, the whole thing is presented as a fantasy of Mick's, so his different mannerisms work for me as part of the whole "fantasy sequence" concept. Mick imagining Mick on a talk show.

Oh cool good to know. I thought that looked more like the promo then anything used for the unaired pilot. I wish I had been able to attend the ML Convention when Trever and the writers talked to the fans. I bet there was a wealth of information shared.
