Thanks for the reference! A guy (an actual male) at work is about mid-first season and is addicted. He'll love getting the episodes faster than he can through Netflix. At this point, he still doesn't like Logan but has seen the belt episode so is starting to soften.

I watched the first episode tonight and I was very surprised at how well done a pilot it was. It really set up the whole season and got you interested in Veronica very quickly. I remember the first time I saw it I couldn't stand Logan and thought How am I going to watch this annoying character? It's amazing when you see how far Jason takes this character from this pilot through the rest of the series. I'm now looking forward to revisiting this series completely since I cheated a lot of it just watching Jason parts.

I admit, when I first set out to watch VM, I was fully prepared to skip to Jason's parts, and not watch the rest. I was getting it from Netflix, at that point.

And the first ep, I thought euw! Not going to like this--Logan is such an unsympathetic BRAT. Yuck. But I was impressed by the cleverness of the writing. And decided to watch the eps all the way through.

I agree with you all. The cleverness and wit that you see in each of the episodes is what draws you in. And, of course, the brilliant acting and character development brought by Jason and Kristen Bell

There are some shows that need a while to find their footing....and then there are those that just hit the right note from the very start. I have loaned out my set of VM DVDs more times than I can count, and I've never had to say to anyone, "Just give it a chance and it will grow on you after a few episodes." Nope. In every case, my friends were hooked with the very first episode. Now, on the other hand, I have had to tell my friends, "Be patient with Logan. He'll melt your heart eventually."

I like episode 1 for so many reasons, but among the tops are: The chemistry between Veronica and her Dad, cleaver exposition and set up of each of the main characters, an intriguing plot arch that grabbed me from the start.

I did watch the second episode this weekend. I loved seeing Paris Hilton as Logan's girlfriend. This was actually the episode I started to warm up to Weevil. It took me several more episodes to like Logan. I'm actually having a lot of fun revisiting this show.

Been off track for a couple of weeks. I did watch the third episode Meet John Smith. This episode had very little Logan but I think it really showed how well Veronica did investigating, am about to watch The Wrath of Con now.

Trying to get back into watching one a week. I watched You Think You Know Somebody. I thought it showed a lot about how much Veronica's Dad puts her first. It was an interesting episode and I want to get back to regular viewing.

I watched Return of the Kane tonight. This was the episode I fell in love with Logan Echolls when we learned about his abusive father.

I watched the Girl Next Door which I love the interaction of Logan and Weevil and I also watched Like A Virgin which is one of the few episodes he's not in. I am really getting into this show. I'm making it my Sunday night entertainment.
