These are lovely. Thank you. And it is striking to see them captured in true color rather than the sepia flashbacks we're used to.

I just now realize that Lilah wore the American Flag when she let Ray go.

Re: Lilah Fordham
The more time passes, the more I love Mick and Lilah's story. It was both beautiful and revealing about the man before the vampire - the experiences that formed the Mick we know and love.
And - they break my heart.
In an alternate universe, Mick and Lilah lived their lives in happiness. They mourned Ray but they found a way to carry on - and those lives were wonderful. I can't help but feel that is what Mick truly deserved.
My views are coloured by the fact that two stories I wrote about Mick, Ray and Lilah are my favourites of all the ML stories I've written - and two of my favourite ML stories are also about these three amazing characters at vital turning points in their lives:
PNWgal's Taking Care of Lilah (NC-17)
allegrita's Six Months (R)

Re: Lilah Fordham
Red, that is a LOVELY cap of Lilah.
So beautiful and so torn - she loved both men, but had to do what was right by Ray when they found out he was still alive.
I LOVE their story and would have loved to see so much more.
Amen. The fact that he lost what could have been a great life with a loving wife, children and grandchildren just makes me want to weep.
And thank you for the shout-out, sweetie. Taking Care of Lilah is one of my personal favorites and I am so pleased you liked it as well as you did.

That's an amazing picture, Red - I really think it captures the depth of Lilah, the suffering she endured, and her strength. She's a really inspiring character.
I'm truly honored that you recommended my story. It's one of which I am very proud. I could never have written it without the encouragement of bluehahlia3, whom I miss very much... and who wrote two beautiful Lilah and Ray stories of her own: Wisteria and Facade.
