Re: The Title Guarantee Building (Mick's building)
Oh this great!!! Thanks so much!
I am especially partial to the garage interior. I know that sounds strange, but, you know how we tend to imagine things being a certain way and usually, they look totally different? Well not for the garage: I pictured it almost exactly like that, so seeing it on the screen like it was in my mind is a thrill. I love the elevator doors too, with the beautiful designs. That's how I'd dream they must be after trying to peek through last year lol. And there's a painting too, so cool!
And yeah... I'm sure Beth had a lot to do with the swimming pool

Re: The Title Guarantee Building (Mick's building)
With some expert help, I recently retrieved my Moonlight location tour pictures from a broken laptop . . . . . . and now that I've found this thread, I thought I'd put up my "FOS Building" pictures! Better late than never, I hope. . . .
On the location tour we were able to go into the Title Guarantee Building, and the manager let us go up and hang out in the penthouse since it hadn't been rented out yet. (Seventeen thousand dollars a month - I'm not surprised!) It was really quite small though it had three levels, and a (much smaller than Mick's) roof balcony. Each level seemed to actually be smaller than the FOS set at the studio, though it may have seemed that way because the rooms were completely empty. They did get the rooftop view exactly right in the show, though I suppose they never filmed anything there. The apartment manager didn't even know it was a famous location until we told him.
Here’s the front door of the building.
This was NOT the price for the penthouse . . .
The lobby ceiling—
And the penthouse elevator!
The interior stairs inside the three-level penthouse . . . there really wasn’t anything else in there . . .
The rooftop view. You can see the Biltmore in a couple of the angles.
This "curvy" building shows up really well in the rooftop 12:04 scene.
Looking up from the roof balcony. The architecture has a really similar look to what they used in the show.

Great shots! And it's always good to see new photos of our locations.
That building was such a perfect pick for the FoS. It just added to the magic.

Oh, Shadow, I'm so glad you got a chance to go on the tour before the Con. I only decided to attend the Con at the last minute, so I missed out on all the wonderful stuff leading up to it. But I've heard and read a lot of great stories about it.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pics with us.

The Title Guarantee is getting a neighbor on all three sides. Located at the corner of 5th St and Olive St, the name of the upcoming residential apartment complex is... 5-OH

Re: The Title Guarantee Building (Mick's building)
I hate that the rear part of it will be taller than the Title Guarantee Building. Having buildings on two sides doesn't bother me, as that building was obviously made to butt up against buildings on those sides anyway. But it should be the tallest one on the block, darn it.

Good God! The 5th pic down...what a Monstrosity: The original plan for Park Fifth, designed by KPF Associates...I'm sure glad that design has been denied.
Something that grotesque should be limited to 3 floors...underground at best. Get away from our stoic FoS you ugly thing.
The second pic down is more acceptable as Alle said the FoS does have those two flat sides to accommodate close rising neighbors .

I know--it's hideous, isn't it?! Much as I wish they'd leave the current building shorter, I still like it about a million times better than that ugly, mismatched Jenga tower.

Now I'll never play Jenga in quite the same way....not without explaining the goofy grin on my face. ...before deliberately knocking it down.

Re: The Title Guarantee Building (Mick's building)
Jenga is exactly right. How could anyone think that suitable to go next to a beautiful Art Deco building like the FoS?
