Reread this and teared up again, but in a good way.

I love this priest! He seems to easily see past the deceptions, and though he appears to make the conscious choice to speak as though he accepts them, hones in on the truth of Mick's life generally even though he doesn't know the details. He gives Mick some wonderful advice and Mick takes it.
