That's a lovely cover pic. Too bad they don't put paper or plastic covers on the magazines they send by mail - if they used them, they could have avoided the address stickers.

I'd love to know how many magazines they sell this month as compared to other months with all the additional women picking up issues.

And is it my imagination or do men like "scowling" faces? Alex was scowling on the GQ issue as well. Or do magazine editors THINK men like scowling faces.

There's definitely a different sensibility to this mag, and the GQ shoot, so I imagine it is some gender/demo preference or identification difference. They seem to want him to look more serious, more cool, more testosterony (I am sure that's a word ) and less "pretty".

I am all for it tho. Alex has his loyal fan girls. If these spreads help bring some young men into his fandom, way cool. Cuz his rep as a girly favorite notwithstanding, the men who meet him in actual person seem to adore him as much as we do, but for different, testosterony reasons.

Can I ask what that means, Carol? I know Nielsen gather data on lots of things but I have no idea what this is or how it works.

Nielsen also rates shopping habits I'm part of that group so I have to scan every item I purchase whether it be a full supermarket shopping or a single magazine. Companies make marketing decisions based on this data, which I upload weekly.

Ya I got mine at Barnes and Noble too.I was disappointed that the BLUE tee wasnt in it-that was so amazing on him I still can't believe it! Well we should be seeing more and more of him since filming has started.

Officer 808 who has the 50undercover.com blog site is male and lives in Hawaii. Being a man, he doesn't have quite the appreciation for Alex' physique as we do AND he does stick up for Hawaiian traditions. I found this funny.
