Rating: G

Pairing: JoshBeth and then MickBeth

In months my life--once on track for a good marriage, a fulfilling career and friends who cared--has been turned upside down.

The world's much more terrifying and wonderful than I knew. My future--exciting and a little scarey--is much wider (and wilder) than I ever imagined possible.

I’ve lost friends (and made others); quit that career (and found new horizons); and lost a chance at marriage (then found my soulmate).

Along the way, I found myself; a cause worth investing life and talents in; and a future filled with promise and love--all within Mick’s hazel eyes.

I can really hear Beth saying this. I loved the pathos you achieved with so few words too. It does kind of fit that Beth was probably a lonely girl, being so work focussed and all. And as everyone has said.... those last few words are just sigh-worthy. :melts:

Absolutely!

Beth was proceeding with her life when she found herself staring into those lovely hazel eyes and her world shifted.

Whether it was basic vamp appeal; a smile that made her heart flutter; a fragment of a childhood memory or a combination of those and many others, her future was there.

You are very kind to read and leave a comment!

Thank you!

Thank you! :melts:

I don't know about Beth being lonely.

I think she got a reasonable amount of attention, and we know through the brief statements about her college years she didn't hide in her dorm all the time. Clearly, she was damaged to some degree by her childhood trauma, but was not crippled by it. She was in a loving relationship with Josh (who I thought was a good guy), not that he had a chance when she met Mick. She was good at a high pressure, high stress job.

In Mick St. John, Beth found someone that she loved, and wanted to protect with her life.

Thank you!

Jenna

Cassy

She really did!

First, learning that the parameters of reality were wider than she had previously believed and then discovering that her heart was fully engaged there!

Thanks for reading and leaving a comment!

Ah, Jenna, you have peaked inside Beth's heart and let us seen her desires....everything she thought she wanted, in the end, wasn't what she wanted.
All three within Mick’s hazel eyes.
Lovely, lovely touch. :rose:
