Ray, Lilah and Mick started on a path that lead each of them through a lot of painful change, but Mick most of all.

Hopefully, in time the pain grew less for Ray and Lilah, but for Mick the changes just kept coming.

Wonderful fic!
Thanks, Jenna

If Lilah had told Ray of her relationship with Mick, one kind of pain might have been replaced with another, with doubts of Robert's paternity forever lingering in Ray's mind.

I remembered this poignant story of Mick's experiences in the Battle of the Bulge, and wanted to bump it for Memorial Day. I'm so glad I had a chance to reread it. It's such a wonderful look into Mick's very soul, and a clear look at the horrors of war.
