What a great look at how Beth and Carl met, and at how their relationship developed. :flowers: Beth did a lot of work on this case, and it paid off.

Those years of watching police procedurals absolutely paid off!

You have a wonderful way of capturing the frustrations and internal workings of law enforcement and the attitudes that tend to develop. I love the depth and motives you ascribe to Beth, too. She is unorthodox, brilliant, altruistic and wants to save lives more than she wants to break a story (but she wants to break the story, too!).

Together, they give us a mix that has been explored in many, many of those procedurals--including our Moonlight! There are elements that echo Mick and Bobby Desmond here, too. Sort of.
