Awww.... this is fabulous Red!! Absolutely freaking fabulous. He can truly be honest in answering this, and I think he finally can be.

This is one of those quiet moments--nothing big going on, no danger, no torment. Just communication. Just... communication!!! How magical is it that Mick is finally, finally able to tell her what's in his heart?!

I love your big stories, you know how much I love them. But sometimes, your little vignettes reveal soooo much about them. There's so much subtext... and, in this one, so much is actually said. I love this--I love that they are talking to each other. :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
   Thank you SO much. Mick's talking - he's still not exactly verbose, but he's getting there. :snicker: I love the little moments (they were the things I loved most about the show) and it does my heart good to imagine this Mick and this Beth living out their unwritten, but promising, future.

lorig, it's not intentional, I swear. Cross my heart. It just comes out like that, honest.  But I think Mick with a hang-nail might be a challenge too far. :giggle:

Ya know, he never says many words, at least not voluntarily, but sometimes he still says A LOT.
Besides that expressive face and the killer voice, he uses words well. You are a perfect conduit for him... :cloud9:

I can just close my eyes and see this conversation! Hard to believe that it is almost three years since the Moonlight magic captured us all! Excellent!

I gave a big ol' sigh at the end of the reading and the word on my tongue was exactly the same. Lovely. Just freaking LOVELY.

The words and sentiments are pretty. But I think was really did it for me is Mick's willingness to finally open up. Finally ready to let Beth know him - really know him. For me, that's the ultimate commitment from him. You had me melting in my chair, Red.

Red < > Moonlighter.

GA, :cloud9: :cloud9: that's lovely. :hearts: I figured there had to come a point when Mick wants to share himself with Beth - we saw that start at the end of Sonata and it was never going to be quick or easy - but he'd get there, I think.

This is beatiful. I love how you describe them. It reminds me of their conversation in the Arbor bistro.
I love how Mick opens up, no longer resistant but teasing her a bit about it, because it's still not easy for him to open up, even when he wants to. He wants to share his life with her. Their love shines through every word.

And the last line could be so cheesy if it wasn't for how you lead to it. That way, it's perfect. I love that you turn cliché into not cliché, you know? Because a cliché is one because there's truth behind it, and you found it.
Thank you!
