This is...wrenching. I've always been so struck by the utter callousness of Coraline toward that poor woman...she's such an example of what Josef described in Lola as being "above it all."

It was a shock, that scene.

And this piece grabs that feeling so well.

The drowning metaphor is wonderful here. I'd never thought of it that way before, but this moment really is a second death for Mick, maybe even more momentous to him than his actual turning. Very thought-provoking! And so much depth in so few lines ... :thud:

Whoa -- at first I thought this was Mick during his being Turned too (as someone mentioned earlier) but to be feeding for the first time and have the same feelings of horror and being out of control must be absolutely terrifying. So, so good, Red. Excellent.
