On the banner... and the current guest-avi. (Ok it's a finger not a hand... )redwinter101 wrote:I wanted my 13,000th post to be here, in my office, so my most recent story seemed the obvious place.
Ignore the banner (check your calendars...) because I am still, all these months and posts later, ALL. ABOUT. MICK. Medic Mick, musician Mick, dark Mick, vampy Mick, funny Mick, romantic Mick, kickass Mick, brave Mick, soulful Mick, tortured Mick, loving Mick and all points in between.
And I'm still incredibly happy to have you all to share my little obsession.
Red
and on the all-about-Mick. Is there REALLY any other way to be?
And for continuing, all these months, to write for us, for him?

Red, dear god--how did I miss this story?!?
I'm utterly overwhelmed. Completely blown away. I know there's another Divine Office one after this, but I can't go there right now, I need to absorb this one for a while. I'm crying (you almost always make me cry, even when they're tears of joy)...and I think this is now my very favorite story of yours.
I'll be back to comment more fully, but I have to read this a few more times... and read the comments... and compose myself. So... I'll be back.
May I please print this out and share it with my dad?

Oh, alle. Of course you can print it out and share it with your Dad - that would make me so very happy. As for how you missed it - check the date it was posted, sweetie.
I'm so happy you got here eventually, though. So very happy.

Of course... the world stopped for me...
Well, I found it now. And boy... it's a grabber.

Re: Sext (noon) - PG-13
Wow. War is hell, and then you try to wake up from your nightmare and realize you're not dreaming. No one that young should have had to go through that.
Your description of Mick’s disorientation upon waking is certainly a precursor to when he wakes up after his nightmarish honeymoon. And in the end here, he longs for the peaceful dream that will take him away from all of that. For me, in the present ML world, I like to think Beth is the dream to take him away from his current nightmare. It's so not fair that he should have to experience this twice!
It's late and I'm tired, but I had to comment. I will echo what all previous posters have said because this was great, Red, just great!

Re: Sext (noon) - PG-13
I love that, Moonlighter - and I agree, Beth is most definitely the dream that can help Mick put the past behind him and think about the future.
When I was planning this story, it really brought me up short when I realised Mick would only have been 22 years old when this happened. Talk about a life tinged with tragedy - going back to long before he was turned.
