One of my favorite Moonlight carols!! :teeth:

A story to go with my little tradition of comments on this story (begun in 2011, believe it or not!)... Mr. Allegrita and I met in our college choir, and our choir director threw the best Christmas parties every year, held on the night of our annual holiday concert. Of course, being singers, a bunch of us would gather around the piano, singing carols. And as the night went on, and the baby pool filled with ice and beer got emptier, the singing got a bit... raucous, shall we say. :snicker: We always sang the (original) Twelve Days of Christmas toward the end of the evening, and the guys would holler the "Five Golden Rings" line at the top of their voices, getting louder and sillier every verse, until by verse 12 everyone in the house was singing along, as loudly and obnoxiously as possible. It's one of my most fun memories of those college years. :teeth:

So, a very Merry Christmas (or other winter holiday) to my very own online family! :rose: :ghug: and, of course, :drinking:

So much fun and so clever! Everything fits so well. Quite a nice set of gifts when you come down to it, except for all those Duvall siblings. I love that there really were seven Duvall siblings, and four MickBeth kisses. Very fitting. This reminded me immediately of something I happened to read recently; it was twelve days of thank-you letters from the true love, where the totals of each gift got added up. Which means, if my math is right, that we get twenty-two handsome vamps! (And, sad to say, forty-two Duvall siblings .... shudder.)

Although I'm not three sheets to the wind, I'm still singing this one at the top of my lungs, with my sincere thanks to MickLifeCrisis and lorig for creating this Moonlight musical masterpiece! :yahoo: I'm not sure Christmas is allowed to happen if we don't gather around Mick's gorgeous fire-and-ice fireplace and sing this one with our very own online Moonlight family! :drinking: :snicker:

It's officially Christmas when The 12 Days of Christmas - Moonlight Style gets bumped! Thank you, Alle, for doing the honors!

I have fond memories of writing this with Lorig one evening. We were laughing so hard I could hardly type! There was a time when Lorig and I chatted almost every night (I think it was on AIM back then, in the dark ages). I miss those times.

But... it's no time to be melancholy. It's time to SING! And remember to get nice and loud for "Fiiiiive whiiiite-goooolllld riiiiiiinggggs!!!!"

Love to my Moonlight online family!! :ghug: :sprise:

Still fantastic every year! A wonderful collection of gifts too... (except for the Duvall siblings of course. But there's always one gift that needs to be exchanged.....)

:rolling: Those Duvalls! Still causing problems even after the fact! I wonder if one gift receipt will do, or if 7 (or 42? :gasp: ) are needed...?? :snicker:

Thanks for reading and commenting, Shadow! :wreath:
