Just had to read this one again when I saw it on top. :reading: And yup, got all teary-eyed again. And then got all happy again at the ending. I love this one! :flowers:

Just came by for a reread and this is just fabulous.

Well, 'Pat' and 'Emily' will take a little geting used to, and Detroit is not L.A., but what can you do?

Thanks,

Jenna

This really has the feel of a much more detailed piece and it would make a fabulous movie.

Someone upthread said something like, 'let's hear it for happy endings' and I totally agree. We see to much of the other kind in RL. Sigh.

Thanks

Jenna

I'm glad this popped up into Active Topics--today, especially! I remember it from another place and time... and I still love it. What a sad but hopeful story. :hearts: Thanks, Barnabas--and happy birthday!

Oh , Barnabas, how did I ever miss this story, it is so wonderful, Mick's relocation brought me to my knees with tears, saying goodbye to Josef and Beth was so heartbreaking!!! :hankie: :hankie:
