Maybe Mick is going green. Smaller freezer - better for the environment. I guess next time he upgrades he would need one that has thicker walls, too. Better seal. Energy saving and all that.

Josef probably has a whole room, like in a butchery, but with a real bed and drapes and furniture in it.

Also, Mick is so hesitant to embrace the whole vamp lifestyle, it makes sense for him to have the simplest, most pared down freezer. Now Josef, I am sure we are talking tufted burgundy silk interior with state of the art sound system and a call button for emergency freshie feedings!

Ya know... I make astute intellectual observations and you all turn it into something else altogether...

I can assure you I was thinking only of the comfort/ discomfort factor in that little coffin/tomb he chose--or that the producers chose for him--versus the larger-than-life hedonistic spread that, as francis has put forth, is likely the sleeping quarters of Josef...

And maybe they wanted the smaller freezer cause it seems more coffin-like? I dunno... the glass bit tho, makes it more like Snow White's coffin doesn't it? But even coffins have padding and a pillow... I never got that part either... is it just MICK who sleeps in a too-tight, pared-down coffin freezer? Woulda been interesting to see Josef's, for comparison sakes....

Padding and pillows, albeit far more comfortable wouldn't have given the producers (and us) quite the same aesthetically pleasing look though would it? The lights underneath him would have gone for a burton to start with and that would have been a crying shame
