Wonderful glimpse at this piece of their relationship. They are learning to be a couple and while Mick can't allow himself the luxury of picturing himself as Beth's phantom groom, I don't expect she is having similar impediments in that area.

Mick just broke my heart, in all possible ways! Cannot say no to her, cannot be with her, cannot see her touching another for a second and has images of her as a bride...not seeing the groom's face...What a tortured amazing soul of a vampire!

You have Mick spot on here. It was a little bit sad in part, but then that was Mick at the time.

Though I had to giggle at Beth thinking about how Mick knocked on her door, and about his eyebrows.

And yes, Beth, for that smoky look from Mick, the dress was indeed worth every penny.

This segment was very real to me. So...normal. Beth observing some of Mick's endearing quirks - how he knocks, his expressive eyebrows. Each feeling the attraction of the other.

As Mick guided her into the church, with his usual light touch on the small of her back, Beth spotted several old college friends, and greeted them, enjoying the appreciative and speculative looks being thrown in their direction. Yeah, girls, she thought, hottest guy here, and he’s with me. She put on her sweetest smile.

This especially felt right to me. I know that is exactly what would have gone through my head. Pride in your man. Because he is. Her man.
