Moonlight is officially an adult! It could register to vote, or join the military! That kinda blows my mind, to be honest. I know the years have passed-- my granddaughters were born in 2007, and one's a college freshman and the other's a senior in high school. But somehow it's hard to get my head around the fact that we met Mick 18 years ago. Wow.

I'm celebrating the anniversary by spending the week with choccyterri and her lovely husband, who arrived Saturday afternoon! We're going to be doing the tourist thing in LA, and of course we'll pay a visit to the Fortress of Style while she's here.

Eighteen years! Man. Thanks to Trevor and Ron, our wonderful cast and writers, the amazing people who put together the sets and costumes and chose the music and the fab cars. And thanks to all the fans who loved the show so much that they've kept it alive, at least in isolated pockets of the internet, for eighteen freaking years.

That's dedication.

It is amazing that 18 years have passed since we first met Mick, Beth, Josef and Coraline! (And that my kids are now in their early 40s and I have 6 grandchildren!)

Thanks to Phoenix, who started MLA and to you Allegrita, who has kept it up and running all this time. As well as your able assistants. Here in our safe place, Mick and Beth are ageless.

It is really hard to believe that it has been eighteen years. I remember my sister read the blurb of new shows in the TV Guide and told me it was my kind of show. How do we find shows anymore? With all the media and constant seasons with streaming etc. There is so much we miss. In this time I went from the first job I ever had to being self employed and Broadway stage door groupie. I've been part of a lot of fandoms but never one that kept so many of the original people for so long especially with a one season show. Great thanks to Alle for keeping it going. I haven't watched the show in a long time, might be time to do a an episode a week like in the old days.
