Frozen Dreams - PG

Don't own Moonlight. Certainly don't want to enfringe on copyrights

My dreams aren’t tethered when, in icy sleep

I walk again the paths of long ago,

The scents of life—of flowers, grass, moist earth, and heat

Are found again with senses I thought long forgot.

They seem so muted now, indistinct and imprecise.

That logic says I shouldn’t yearn for their return

And yet, I think I’ll mourn their loss as long as life is long and sunlight burns...

Thank you, Karen!!

I wanted to capture too much, I think and only succeeded in about half, but this was a fun exercise!

Kind words refresh the soul--thank you so much! It seems they are getting rarer and rarer in the world today,

You are a fountain of kindness!

Thank you! I hadn't written anything in ages and had forgotten how much fun it is.

When i remembered I went back and wrote another seven lines

So sad and lovely! Love the idea of Mick's vampire dreams being of all these human things, which are so faded now. Beautiful. :rose:
