Oh poor Rose, and poor Beth. Of course she wouldn't believe it.

Surprised that Beth actually told her. I expect that Mick doesn't know. It would be a lot to take in, and adding the vampire element adds another element entirely.

Have nothing to hang this supposition on, but I think that Mick came from pretty practical stock. Brunch at the Franklin Hotel after church on Sundays' and the Ray and Lilah Fordham backstory doesn't indicate much room for 'out there' theories--but she is intelligent, and her heart will come to accept what the mind can't handle right now.

Hope there is more of this.

Especially without any visible proof, like what Beth had ... it's just not something anyone halfway sensible would believe.

I totally agree with you about Mick's background, which is why Rose is a pretty practical person. She wouldn't be likely to believe a wild story, even if she wanted it to be true. But she does have a heart a lot like Mick's, too. Thanks for carrying on with this story!

Oh my ,this was a tough one to deal with. So much pain for all those involve, the dead and the living.. I was glad for a while that the interview went so well for Rosie, she was so anxious to begin with and after a while she was lost in the memories of her past and then of Mick..and she did pour her heart out for Beth, didn't she? The way they both considered Mick as their angel was wonderful, though he was to blame for their misfortune as well in a way..

Amazing effect this girl has on the St John's that they reveal to her their secrets and feelings...And what a parallel, both siblings wanting to have kids so much and not being able for different reasons to have their dream come true..

But it was indeed to much to ask from Rose, believe in vampires, believe that man was actually Mick..Slapping Beth, well, that was a relief, I guess , since she must have been fooled before..
Not again. Oh God, not again. She supposed she ought to admire the audacity of it all. No one had ever presented it to her in quite this way before
The end of the chapter, both women broken ... :gasp:
-It never ends well...
-Never?

I had not ever quite noticed that before! But so true. I like to think that Beth would be a pretty good interviewer . . . and it seems that her extreme personal interest in Rose would make her questions even more compelling, making them irresistible to answer . . .

Still, I could not really imagine that such a practical person as Rose could ever believe such a story as Beth told her. :Mickangel:

So great that you are continuing with this story, little fledgling!
