Decisions..(A Beth Drabble) PG

Do I know what I’m getting into?

Probably not. If I think about this too much, I’ll probably run screaming into the night…or away from the night. Whatever.

Not all my decisions have been well thought out and results aren’t always bad. Mom told me to ‘look before I leap’ but I’ve missed opportunities by waiting too long. Maybe some decisions need to be made without much thought. Maybe sometimes I need to feel my way through.

Let's see--he’s charming, attractive and he did ask me out—even though he also hit my car.

OK, Josh Lindsey, you’re on…

You are right! When I started out writing this, Beth was thinking about a future with Mick but I got a sneezing fit near the end and things...changed. The whole thing moved back in time from post Sonata to pre NSTAV! Dust can do strange things...

Very cute, Jen. You had me there too.

Beth is definitely a 'leap before you look' kinda gal. Some people like that. Just gotta find the right one. :winky:

So your muse has a cold and is jumping around? That's cute. I guess she realized this fit better with Josh, or first. Later she did something like this with Mick too. :snicker:

It just made sense to me that Beth would have gone through something like this in both cases.

Initially, I was really thinking MickBeth and wound up settling on Beth and Josh's early moments. We know that Beth met Josh over a fender bender, that included a few flashes of mutual attraction.

The decision with Mick had layers of complexity that were absent here. When Beth pondered over whether to go out with the cute guy that hit her car (and she probably did less soul searching than even a drabble would indicate), she didn't have to consider a lot of other issues that went with Mick...

Then again, I think her love for Mick St. John was a lot deeper. She was committed to Mick before I think she truly realized it.
