This appears to be an interview from the press junket Nov 9 or 10 when we learned about Lion's name.

No spoilers.

So there was a bit of tension between he and Scott in the beginning. :brow:
He's really obsessed with poop.
Enough of the James Bond thing. :banghead:

Fabulous interview. Thanks for sharing, Rhonda. :hearts:

Even with a lack of sleep, Alex gives great, straightforward answers. His honesty and integrity continue to impress me.

Here's where I am with the James Bond thing: a few years ago, it kinda annoyed me when it kept being brought up. It was like: Really? Keep rubbing salt in the wound of a guy who is still searching for a successful endeavor. Plus, he was so young.

Now? The man is on a successful tv show and is older. Let the press keep bringing it up bc he is ready to play Bond now. He had an extensive audition years ago where they were obviously impressed with him. He may not have the big name recognition to play Bond yet, but give him a few years and he just might.

Plus, I just saw the latest Bond movie and I could see Alex in the role. Couldn't see it 5 years ago, but my god, he would be perfect now. And isn't Mr Craig about at the end of his Bond line? A great as he is, the shelf life of Bond does have an expiration date.

I read recently that Daniel Craig's Bond contract is for 2 more movies. For what it's worth.

Thanks lucky. I knew he was under contract for at least one more.

We have a thread on it.

I think what's irritating me about the continued questioning on James Bond is that it's a wasted question. I already know the answer so I'd rather the interviewer ask something new.

So instead of Bond he's bonding. :teeth:

Isn't it interesting how the Bond franchise has taken on a Dr. Who characteristic?

Did he promise us a picture of Lion?

While he did say "Wait till you see a picture...", I don't think he meant that he'd really show them a picture. :sigh:

Out of interview mode, I'm sure he'll keep up the same sort of privacy concerns he had with Saxon when he was young. Alex does seem a bit more open with Saxon now but Saxon is also old enough to sense when he himself might be in danger.

I thought it was interesting that he feels he hasn't found his one dream role yet, and that he needs to be older and more experienced before he does find it.

Another article from the same interview. It has a few different details - like how long Scott and Alex's egos battled.

Oh my gosh, I'm giggling like mad at that last line! :snicker: Such an Alex thing to say, isn't it?! :hearts:

And I do love what he says about just LIVING your life. He's absolutely right about there never being a good time to have a kid. You will never have all your ducks in a row... it's hard, and it's scary, no matter how much money you've got. Like Mick said... "Life is short." You can't wait for everything to be perfect, or you'll fritter your life away and end up regretting the fact that you never did those things you truly wanted to do.

Thanks for the interview, Rhonda  I like that it shows him like any other guy with a newborn in the house - a bit dazed, but happier than hell about it.

Maybe the lack of sleep is aging him, but this interviewer did as well (he's 36, not 38) :giggle:
