Note this exciting news!!!
I am putting my feet up. I am just going to put my feet up because I have been working solidly, and I am going to be having a baby.
:yahoo:
Wonder if that means she IS pregnant or joyfully working on being pregnant! So many of the ML alumni have started families it's nice to know she's in that secure place.

Wow!! What wonderful news for her!

I found myself nodding when she spoke about there not being roles written for strong women. Perhaps she's correct about them being so complex that writers find them difficult subject matter.

What a good interview. Isn't she just the most down to earth, level-headed person? :hearts: And I loved what she said about strong female roles. It's one more reason to hope for more women to rise in the filmmaking biz, so that strong female characters may have more of a chance to get written believably!

And I'm thrilled for her that she's starting a family. :cloud9: I'm sending her all sorts of love and good feelings. :hearts: :ghug:

I think this is the kind of film I cannot stomach, but I loved to read her thoughts about the process and her experience.
I just think that there are more strong roles for men. Maybe it is because women are more complex and maybe people don’t understand them and so cannot write for them (laughs).
I think she would join our H50-laments if she watched the show like we do.
She's such an intelligent woman and can express herself very well. :hearts:

And congrats on the family. It seems that the blessings Alex gets in Hawaii are spreading all over the world. :winky:

http://www.thefancarpet.com/NewsPage.aspx?n_id=9881 Here's a cool article on the Blackwood release event, with fabulous artwork and interviews with Sophia and her director, Adam Wimpenny, plus the street artist who did a HUGE piece for the event. She looks beautiful and healthy--and she said in the interview that she's having the baby in "a couple of months"! :hyper2:

ETA the link. :dunce:

Sophia did an interview on a British chat show called "The Wright Stuff". Her fan site has posted the video.
