Josef brought Mick and Beth in the limo to meet with George Allerton.
“Are you sure this guy is the real deal?”
“He had my mother, Josh, Ray.
“Josh he could have gotten from the news. Ray was the grandfather of a kidnapping victim and no offense Mick but mothers are a dime a dozen.
“Not my mother.” Mick said indignantly.
Josef sighed. “I wasn’t being insulting. They’re all pretty much the same. I love you. Be careful, blah, blah, blah.
“Is that what you expect your mother to say?” Beth asked.
Josef smiled. 17th century parenting was different Beth. If your sons achieved manhood you did your job.
“So your mother did her job?” Beth asked.
Josef smiled. “Beth, you wound me. I’ve never had a woman question that before. I just want to make sure that I’m not wasting my time. After what happened today, I can’t let anyone in my house until I evict this bastard.
“He’s really a medium.” Mick said. “Whether he can get rid of Whitley remains to be seen.”
The limo pulled up to the Hampton Inn.
“You’re kidding? Josef snapped. “The medium is in a low end motel, for these prices he could stay at the Regent Beverly Wilshire.. He said to the driver. “Find a garage a few blocks from here. I’ll text you when we’re done.”
They went into the hotel and met with Allerton’s assistant before being escorted to his room.
George smiled at Mick and Beth. He glanced at Josef. “Mr. Fitzgerald?”
Josef shook his head. “It’s Joseph Lambert.”
George shrugged. “No it isn’t. I think these messages are for Charles Fitzgerald.”
Josef sat in a chair and indicated Mick and Beth should take the couch.
George looked at Josef. “Are you sure you don’t want privacy/”
“Do I need privacy?”
George nodded. “The spirit in your house is a man by the name of John Whitley. He says you’re a homicidal maniac.”
“That’s a matter of opinion.”
“He says you murdered his daughter.”
“Not true.” Josef said.
“He says. You’re a soul-thief. You hypnotize young women and then steal their blood, lives and soul.”
“Not true.”
George agreed. “I’m telling him no one can steal souls. He’s getting agitated. He insists you killed his daughter and destroyed her soul. He says he’s trying to save your harem. If they run away you’ll starve to death.”
“I don’t have a harem.” Josef said sharply.
“He’s showing me a light blue stone. Does that mean anything to you?”
“Aqaumarine. Josef said.
“She reminds him of his daughter.”
“Aqua looks nothing like his daughter.”
“She’s beautiful, innocent and trusting.
“I‘ll give him that.” Josef said.
“He’s afraid you’re going to destroy her. You and the orange??
“Orange?” Josef asked.
“Orange? Apricot? Peach?”
Josef bit his lip. “Tangerine.
“Whitley said the Tangerine is your pimp. She acquires the girls for you to exploit. She offers them up to you as human sacrifice. He presumes you’ve promised to turn her into a monster but she already is one.
Josef was so enraged he lowered his head into his hands to keep himself from transitioning.
George glanced away to offer him privacy. “Beth, he’s also very worried about you. He thinks Mr. Fitzgerald is going to kill you because of certain knowledge.”
“That’s not true.” Beth said. “Mr. Whitley doesn’t really understand.
“You’re right. He only sees what he wants to see not the reality.” George said. “His hatred won’t allow him to move forward.
“I need him out of my house and out of my life.” Josef snapped. “Can you do it?”
“There’s someone else here to see you.”
Josef growled. “I don’t have to time to talk to my mommy.
“Do you have time to talk to Sarah’s mother? Anne Whitley has a lot to say to both of you.
