Thanks, Moonlighter - and ITA on the hierarchy. Somehow Josef's always got more strings to pull than anyone else.

Excellent take on the challenge, Red. :clapping:

Love this....
As he pulled over across the street from the Turner house, the calm he had sought all night finally descended. There was one thing he could cling to, one certainty in his new world: no matter how long she lived, no matter how far apart they travelled, no matter who else got in his way, Beth was the one person he would always keep safe.
No matter how many times the darkness of the vampire world pulls Mick back in, he always has Beth to keep from losing hope entirely. :happysigh:

I thoroughly enjoyed bad ass, getting the job done Mick. :melts: :melts:

Thanks, coco. I love imagining Mick in this time period, watching over Beth, finding a new way for himself in the world. :happysigh:

Great conclusion.

Josef Kostan is nothing if not the soul of adaptability.

He has learned to swim comfortably in the waters of his current profession and life, and if that involves using Mick in the process, what good is having a best friend who is a P.I. if you can't use them once in a while?

In the end we see that this early in their story, Beth has already become his anchor. The thing he turns to to save him.

Lovely.

Absolutely - she changed everything. Everything.

Thanks so much for the re-read, jen.

Lovely.

Mick sorts the case out, and does every gumshoe who ever bore the title proud in the process. Then, at the end, we see the seeds of another obsession that gives him a measure of peace and salvation.

Fabulous.

Wonderful conclusion to a great three part story.

Mick is so very good at being a private investigator, I feel sad that he would have to leave it one day.

Josef Kostan is probably behind a lot of the questionable things that happen in L.A.

Thank you!

Jenna
