Oh, Tam - that's marvellous. I love the mix of action and intimate moments - and a great sequence of cityscapes, too.

I checked and you don't have a video office so I've PMed Phoenix to set one up for you so you can post this in its own thread, okay?

Tam, this is wonderful! I love the scenes your chose to accompany the lyrics and the shots of LA zooming in the FOS and Mick with the lighter were great with the instrumental. Brava!

It's a bit of a given since the song is actually in ML (but curiously enough to a Beth/Josh scene), but I found 'Calling You' from Blue October very fitting for Mick/Beth. So fitting, in fact, that I made one more Mick/Beth vid... after this it's back to Mick/Josef for me, yeah! :happysigh:

Link to vid

Lyrics:

There's something that I can't quite explain
I'm so in love with you
You'll never take that away
And if I've said a hundred times before
Expect a thousand more
You'll never take that away

Well expect me to be
Calling you to see
If you're okay when I'm not around,
Asking if you love me
I love the way you make it sound
Calling you to see
Do I too hard to make you smile,
To make us smile...

I will keep calling you to see
If you're sleeping or you're dreaming
If you're dreaming, are you dreaming of me?
I can't believe you actually picked me

I thought that the world had lost its sway
(It's so hard sometimes)
Then I fell in love with you
(Then came you)
And you took that away
(It's not so difficult, the world is not so difficult)

You take away the old, show me the new
And I feel like I can fly when I stand next to you
So while I'm on this phone
A hundred miles from home
I'll take the words you gave
And send them back to you

I only want to see
If you're okay when I'm not around,
Asking if you love me
I love the way you make it sound
Calling you to see
Do I try too hard to make you smile,
To make us smile....

I will keep calling you to see
If you're sleeping or you're dreaming
If you're dreaming, are you dreaming of me?
I can't believe you actually picked me...

Actually, one of the things that I love about the way they used that song, was that it applied equally to Mick and Josh in relation to Beth, during the scene where it was played...Mick, thinking it was finally time to open up to Beth about his feelings, and Josh reconciling with her.

(Plus, I have to say that I love that song--it's probably my second favorite of all the ML songs, and I use it for my "sprint" when I'm exercise biking. GREAT fast song to really pump up the workout!)

I discovered Halfway Gone by Lighthouse. It seems to fit how Mick felt in Sonata at the end when he went out Beth's door and then decided to come back.
She's been poking him to let her in, all that time, but now she's cutting him out of her life because she can't do it. It's heartbreaking, and the lyrics fit so well.

Oh, sorry, I planned to add the youtube link but I forgot. Thanks, Tam.

Here are the lyrics:

You were always hard to hold
So letting go aint easy
Im hanging on but growing cold
While my mind is leaving

Talk, talk is cheap
Give me a word you can keep
Cause youre halfway gone and Im on way
And Im feeling, feelin feelin this way
Cause Im halfway in but dont take too long
Cause Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone
You got one foot out the door
And choking on the other
Always think theres something more
Its just around the corner

Talk, talk is cheap
Give me a word you can keep
Cause Im halfway gone and Im on way
And Im feeling, feelin feelin this way
Cause youre halfway in but dont take too long
Cause Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone

If you want me out, then Im on my way
And Im feelin, feelin feelin this way
Cause youre halfway in, but dont take too long
Cause Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone (wohoww wohoww)
Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone (wohoww wohoww)
Now Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone
Dont take too long, dont take too long
Cause Im on my way
If you take too long
Cause Im halfway gone and Im on way
And Im feeling, feelin Im feelin this way
Cause youre halfway in but dont take too long
Cause Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone

If you want me out, then Im on my way
And Im feelin , feelin feelin this way
Cause youre halfway in, but dont take too long
Cause Im halfway gone, Im halfway gone (wohoww wohoww)
Cause Im halfway gone, and Im halfway gone (wohoww wohoww)
Cause Im halfway gone, yeah Im halfway gone

Lately I'm listening to music a bit more, reliving the classics from my youth. Today it's so much easier with Youtube and lyrics on the internet.

I found a song that reminds me heavily of Mick and Beth: "All I Want Is You" by U2.

Another song that's just perfect for Moonlight - Everywhere I Go by Lissie, from the album Catching A Tiger:

Everywhere I Go

And I fall on my knees
Tell me how's the way to be
Tell me how's the way to go
Tell me all that I should know

And I fall on my knees
Tell me how's the way to go
Tell me how's the way to be
To evoke some empathy

Danger will follow me now
Everywhere I go
Angels will call on me
And take me to my home
Well this tired mind
Just wants to be led home

And I fall on my knees
Tell me how's the way to go
Tell me how's the way to see
Show me all that I could be

And I fall on my knees
Tell me how's the way to be yeah
Tell me how's the way to go
Tell me why I feel so low

Angels will follow me now
Everywhere I go
Angels will call on me
And take me to my home
Well these tired eyes
Just want to remain closed

I don't see clearly
Can't feel nothing no
Can't you hear me?

And I fall on my knees
And angels will call on me
Now everywhere I go
Angels will call on me
And take me to my home

And angel will fall on me
Everywhere I walk
Angels will call on me
And take me to my home

And angels will call on me
Now everywhere I go
Angels will follow me
Now lead me to my home

:thud: I love the Lissie song! U2 is also very ML-y... this appears to have become the "get to know excellent music I didn't know yet" thread :yahoo:

Do you know the song All for Love, performed by Bryan Adams, Sting and Rod Stewart? I just discovered it, and a making-of video:

Awesome trio! And the song reminds me so much of Mick and Beth, and Josef and Sarah.

So I ended up doing about 6 hours of driving today, which gave my iPod an extensive workout. These two songs jumped out at me as perfect Moonlight moments:

Crystalised by The xx (check out the whole album - also called XX. You won't regret it). This song would make a fabulous Moonlight vid... *hint*

You've applied the pressure
To have me crystalised
And you've got the faith
That I could bring paradise

I'll forgive and forget
Before I'm paralysed
Do I have to keep up the pace
To keep you satisfied

Things have gotten closer to the sun
And I've done things in small doses
So don't think that I'm pushing you away
When you're the one that I've kept closest

You don't move slow
Taking steps in my directions
The sound resounds, echo
Does it lessen your affection
No

You say I'm foolish
For pushing this aside
But burn down our home
I won't leave alive

Glaciers have melted to the sea
I wish the tide would take me over
I've been down on my knees
And you just keep on getting closer

Glaciers have melted to the sea (Things have gotten closer to the sun)
I wish the tide would take me over (And I've done things in small doses)
I've been down onto my knees (So don't think that I'm pushing you away)
And you just keep on getting closer (When you're the one that I've kept closest)

Go slow

And as for a perfect Mick/Cora song, does it get any better than URA Fever by The Kills?

Walk you to the counter
what you got to offer
pick you out a soda
look at you forever
walk you to the water
eyes like a casino
you ain't born typical
find a piece of silver
pretty as a diagram
go down to the Rio
put it in my left hand
put it in a fruit machine
everyone's a winner
laughing like a seagull

you are a fever, you are a fever
you ain't born typical
you are a fever, you are a fever
you ain't born typical

living in a suitcase
meet a clown and fall in love
been dying to have you over
clown around and brake up
take you to a jukebox
that's the situation
pick you out a number
that's our arrangement

dancing on the legs of a new born pony
left right left right, keep it up son
go ahead and have her, go ahead and leave her
you only ever had her when you were a fever

I am a fever, I am a fever
I ain't born typical
I am a fever, I am a fever
I ain't born typical
we are a fever, we are a fever
we ain't born typical
we are a fever, we are a fever
we ain't born typical

WOW. URA Fever just grabbed me in its teeth and shook me. I may have a new favorite song!
