Well, there is one positive way of looking at this - although I admit it's an awfully jaded way of seeing.

As someone who is NOT a fan of Lisa getting involved romantically with Andy, I'm very pleased that we won't have to see that!

But honestly, I would love to see the rest of the episodes in some way and I would deal with the above situation in order to see what happens to Kuol and Andy's full backstory.

I'm sure we'll see those remaining episodes at some point. Either on Saturday night, during the spring, or even online (the CBS website or iTunes).

And while I'm saddened that the show will be no more, I'm hopeful that the cast and crew will be able to move on to bigger and better things. The entire bunch is very talented, so I'm sure there will be roles out there for them that will showcase their talent. Best wishes to them all! :flowers:

DSR, that is definitely food for thought! I'd buy the DVD... heck, I'd probably buy it even if they did show the remaining episodes and/or sell 'em on iTunes...

Last night, before the bad news broke, the Moonlight DVD was 383 on the sales chart at Barnes and Noble.com.

Tonight, it's 260.

Perhaps others are looking for a way to keep Alex on their screens.

ETA - I just checked something else. Harper's Island was released on DVD 2 months ago, all thirteen episodes.

About ML - that's really interesting. And somehow I didn't realize that Harper's Island had 13 episodes. I don't think the affiliate here aired them. I love Jill. She was so great at the Con. That's why I watched the shows that aired.

The man can make money for somebody... if they'd just give him a chance. And Dark, honey, I LOVE that you ferreted this out. :smooch:

You're welcome, grace, but I have a question:Does anybody know what the status of Alex's contract with CBS is? With 3R canceled, does that turn him loose to pursue other opportunities elsewhere or is he still under some obligation to the network?

That is really fascinating, DSR! Thank you for checking on that. It's really fascinating to me. I wonder if anyone *ahemCBScough* will notice about the jump in DVD sales.

Ooh, I might just have to go buy the Harper's Island DVD. Hey, Jill is getting married this month, by the way! (Yeah, totally off topic. So mod me)

Alle - that's wonderful news about Jill. I wish her all the best. She gave us some of the most memorable scenes in Moonlight, for which I'll be forever grateful.

As for noticing the jump in DVD sales, maybe another user feedback comment on Three Rivers is in order. The network will get a lot of comments about wanting to see Alex in something else, but DVD sales are hard data that they can easily translate into hard $.

I think it's fascinating, the jump. And now that I've thought of it, I wonder if ITunes sales of 3R also went up today?

In PNW's Perfect Paradise, this is what I'd like to see:

They finish all 13 episodes of Three Rivers. The Back-Up Plan comes out in April and has a moderate to rousing success. CBS reruns the eps they've already shown, plus the others we haven't seen starting the first week of June and through the summer - starring "The Back Up Plan's" Alex O'Loughlin. ;) So many people watch the show that CBS can't help but bring it back.

A girl can dream, can't she? :teeth:

(Actually, in PNW's Perfect Paradise, Alex shows up on my doorstep and begs me to run away with him, but at least the above is feasible... )

I dunno Sweetie... I think your real secret perfect paradise IS just as feasible as them bringing 3R back... but you dream, my girl, you dream! :smooch:

I betcha CBS would be willing to stick Alex in something... but I wonder if he'd be willing to be stuck... cause he probably feels like he's been stuck at this point... :poke:

Okay, spill it, Alle! :giggle: We're a bunch of women. We want details! :snicker:

And I should send her a "congrats" on her Facebook page. Good for her! I sure hope she's busy with work and that her future hubby knows what a gem of a lady he's getting in her.

All I know is what's on her FB page, actually. She was kind enough to friend me, but I try to do no more than lurk since it's really her personal page. But I did "like" her status the other day... :hearts:
