What an incredible amount of faffing about in between takes though. I couldn't be bothered with all that and surely falling into a taxi like that can't be good while pregnant?

How Cute is Alex O’Loughlin on the set of “The Back-Up Plan”

Alex O’Loughlin and Jennifer Lopez were seen on location for “The Back-Up Plan” in the Greenwich Village in New York City, where they were rehearsing a scene where Alex’s character, Stan helps Jennifer’s character, Zoe into a cab. During the filming of the scene, our favorite Latin Diva looked gorgeous in a white fitting dress that showed off the prosthetic bump she was wearing. Alex, himself, was looking pretty hot by JLo’s side.

Seeing Alex in all these pictures with JLo, I was curious to learn more about him. I don’t know about you but I never heard of Alex O’Loughlin until recently and decided to look into his background.

If you’re curious to learn more about Alex, here’s what I was able to find.

What we know of Alex O’Loughlin:

* Born on August 24th, 1975
* Australian born: born in Canberra but raised in Sydney
* Started his film career in 2004 when he got the lead role in a movie called “The Oyster Farmer“
* Played Detective Kevin Hiatt in the “Shield” in 2007 until he received the lead role in CBS “Moonlight“, where he played detective/vampire Mick St. John
* Was a candidate for the James Bond role but lost to David Craig
* “Enjoys riding motorcycles, rock climbing, music and playing his guitar” (IMDB)
* Also starred in “August Rush” with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in 2007
* “His last name is pronounced “O-lock-lin”" (IMDB)(italics, mine! yeaaaaa!)
* Recently broke up with his long term girlfriend, Holly Valance in February 2009

I first auditioned for the role of specimen CR04239B-- I wanted to give my seed to the film... but they weren't interested... so I just auditioned for the role of Stan and got it. I'm happy with it. Stan is a daydreamer. He's a little frustrated at where he is. Then suddenly, Stan and Zoe collide into one another's lives. It's very serendipitous because they end up exactly where they want and need to be, but it takes a minute to realize what it is.
