Oh Alle! You hit SUCH a chord with me! That loft, and allll its accoutrements, are so a part of my experience of Mick, and frankly of Alex... they will always be intertwined.

No matter where fanfic authors place Mick in the future, that loft is just part of his personality. It just is. SUCH a testament to the set designers on that show. I hope they are working elsewhere... cause they're effin brilliant.

The set designer was Alfred Sole, and he does Castle now... check it out, and you'll see a lot of things that remind you of Mick's loft.

By the way, if you belong to Vampires and Slayers, there is an audio interview with Alfred Sole about his designs for the Moonlight sets. I can't put the link, because it's a site that requires registration, but if you PM me, I'll give it to you.

alle,

that first picture is one of my favorites of Mick. Perpetually cool, yes, and eternally gorgeous, yet there is just a hint of sadness or perhaps longing that makes him so human here.
