anybody notice that there's no sign of tats? In some of those shots, the shoulder ones should be peaking under the shirt....sigh...more body makeup, even on a rugby field.
anybody know what he's spraying? can't quite read the can...
and dc, once again, you've made my day

Yeah--no tats, and that is Evian, for spraying on the skin. It comes in an aerosol can. (I was offered a free sample once--that's the only reason I know, because how wasteful can you get--putting water into an aerosol can so you can mist your face?!?!? Sorry, totally off topic...)

It is an Evian Spray Mist and yes! I agree with Alle, totally wasteful!

Alle, dc,
thanks....I was about to post why would anyone put water in an aerosol can...now I know. I have to agree with you, it's a bit much. But if the man is wearing any make-up, I guess the only way you can cool off without mucking it up is to mist like that.

So get some water out of the tap and put it in a mister.
(Er, vested interest - I work for a water company. Don't even get me started on the environmental damage and waste caused by bottled/canned water...)

No argument from me....I have to admit that the whole idea of buying water (and I presume it's spring or some other magical water), pressurized in an aerosol container, for the purpose of 'toning the skin' (as the can states) is just a bit over the top (not to mention environmentally unfriendly). O well, I learned something today.

Red -
May I offer that whle I bought large water bottles in the past (Dasani & Evian) I kept those bottles & now use thom on a daily basis to take my filtered (Brita) water to the office? And someone made the comment awhile back that I could get germs from those bottles - I just igonre them & keep on toting them to the office. My one Dasani bottle is probably at LEAST 5 years old.

As promised, here's the follow-up blog from Rob Owen of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He doesn't seem to have taken to Alex...

I suspect he didn't necessarily take to Alex because Alex spent more time with his fans than he did with the reporters - hence they had to wait several hours in the heat for a short group interview. Alex signed our pictures and poster and posed for us at the first significant break. Yes Alex does appreciate his fans and we didn't have to wait nearly as long as they did. We told him we came from a long distance and he knows we went to bat for him. Yea Alex!
