I've always thought that early ML promo Mick (in the brown leather coat, with the furtive expression) was illustrative of Mick in his early vampire days... the time he was struggling with what it meant to be a monster, and how to live (or not live) with Coraline. I see Mick looking this way throughout the 50's, on and off... and maybe in the 60's, too.

Yeah newbie Mick trying to look and live like everyone else yet knowing he was anything but. Also it's NY Mick -v- LA Mick.

Mick's hands, from two directions... from original pilot promo pics, I think...

That feels just like how those images would fit with Mick's timeline! Those promo picks with the capelike coat also look "vintage" to me . . . like the fifties or sixties.

I think it is from a huge Mick pic - I don't know if it was a promo pic though..- from the beginning of Sonata.

Oooh, gorgeous crop, Shadow. And yes, I agree, Maggatha, the applauding hands must be from that picture. It was available very large on moonlight-detective back in the day. (Sigh... that was such a good site. I miss them.)
