I really don't care why it happened... I just like the fact that it did.
And having "love" over his shoulder seems entirely appropriate to me, for a whole bunch of reasons.
(Including a shout-out to VM!)

Maybe or because he was hired late for the first day of shooting they just grabbed any shirt that semi-fit that wasn't designated for another characters wardrobe.
