Isn't it. Because she is TOTALLY dependent on him. For everything.redwinter101 wrote:The scene with the food smearing, ending with Michael completely out of control, is the first time that I really felt that knife-edge. Deidre can't see it but I felt every second, from that point on, that she was in imminent danger. That, to me, was terrifying.

It's so weird--how distraught they both are.

The juxtaposition of the two sex scenes was interesting.

He smears food all over her... it's a... sexual... thing???
And yes, one feels the depth of Michael's issues at this point... or begins to.
He doesn't just have a thing for fat girls, or isn't just a control freak. He's got deep seeded and desperate issues and is not the happy guy he projects himself to be. He cannot get release... pretty much literally...

I really felt they hadn't done enough to explain what drove Phil to Ohio. One day, he's pissed off in Sydney, next he's in Ohio and when he gets there he doesn't even check-in with the local police. Seriously? Renegade operation or not, that was, um, odd.

I agree - but at the root of both, desperation.r1015bill wrote:The juxtaposition of the two sex scenes was interesting.

He can't let on that he's there. Or they'll get in his way. He's on his own.redwinter101 wrote:I really felt they hadn't done enough to explain what drove Phil to Ohio. He's gone totally rogue at this point... and it's just personal. A guy thing. Who's is bigger...
And yeah, they are both effed up...

I know that was the intention - it just didn't work for me.GuardianAngel wrote:He can't let on that he's there. Or they'll get in his way.
