I was disappointed we didn't get a Josef/Lola scene too.

I loved Lola (even more so after reading PNWgal's "Half the World is Night"); and I love Grace's observation that she is the only one who isn't interested in Mick - she has men for amusement but doesn't need a mate. God how I loved that about her!

As for Mick in this scene - well, okay, I run out of superlatives. So, I'll have to go with heart-stopping.

Back to the scene outside the club - I loved it once Beth actually reached Mick. Their discussion was lovely and playful and the perfect continuation of the kitchen flirtation. BUT, what on earth was the wardrobe department trying to do to poor Beth? First, crossing the street, all I saw was a massive tan line across her cleavage (come ON make-up people). And then, little black dress, FINE. Red shoes, red belt, NOT FINE. Black dress, red shoes, red belt - were they trying to make her look like a hooker? Sophia is a beautiful, beautiful woman - and they all redeem themselves with the look they give her when she comes to Mick's apartment after taking the BC - but this look is seventeen different shades of WRONG.

Sorry for shouting :snicker: but this was just inexcusable.

The massive tan line has always been so noticeable :rofl2:
At least they did redeem themselves with the second little black dress - MUCH better than the first outfit

How fantastic would a Josef/Lola scene have been? Shame we never got it

I'm still trying to figure out after that dress, the little black outfit she wears the first time to Club Valis (little black leather miniskirt--slutty, anyone?), and the little black number at the party in OOTP--how is that black dress she wears later to Mick's place "not her"? She evidently has a CLOSET full of sexy little black dresses...and that one is "not her"? :wtf:

Don't get me wrong, she wears them all very well...

Oh ITA Red... the tan line was unforgiveable and made her look like she was only playing at dress up... but not very good at it. It also wasn't the best cut of top for Sophia's particular shape... her boobs needed a little more boost. DO they not have push up bras on that set?

And yeah, the red belt and red shoes... dress up... hooker costume for Halloween with the vampire. And her hair had looked sexier the first time she went to Club V. The style they gave her, coupled with the rest of the costume, was just too much!

She looked far better a few hours later... maybe the BC gave her better fashion sense...

Ah, thanks Sis, I hadn't remembered that about the messages Josef had left on her phone. Haven't seen this ep since it aired. Guess I was thinking she'd probably p*ssed off a few other than just Josef.

Since Josef has you so firmly under his thumb, Lucky... ;-)

I have to agree with Red's assessment of the way Beth is dressed - I wonder if the wardrobe dept hated her or something (that sweater in Click, anybody?). Personally I think she looked the best when she woke up on Mick's couch - oversized shirt, mussed hair, smeary make-up. She was just so adorable!

I'd also like to mention how much I loved Mick holding his own against a centuries-old, powerful vampire - especially with Beth in the middle of it all.

I don't know crap about fashion, but I didn't care much for the dress she wore at Club Valis either. Her boobs were smooshed and I HATE that look.

Perhaps they were trying to say that Beth didn't know much about fashion either. She was just a normal gal who thought that THAT dress made her sexy, but it didn't. *shrug* Sheesh, I can fanwank anything, can't I? LOL

Okay okay GuysI normally just lurk in this thread But get the tomatos ready :tomato: But I thought Beth was very stylish in that black and red clubbing out fit.If you look at the rest of the Woman in that club she fit right in,And I don't know about the rest of you but I worked in a nightclub for a very very long time and when your trying to get in a club, Slutty R Us is the way to get in,I'll give you the Tan line could have been done up better by the make-up debt,But Beth looked fabulous walking into that club,And By the way Mick was looking at her, he thought so too.Okay commence tomatos :scary:

LOL Mags... using the Mick defense... novel but effective. If Mick thinks she looks good, by definition she looks good, is that it?

But then guys have a different definition of looking good than women have... and slutty usually doesn't bother guys... :snicker:

True, men cannot be objective when it comes to women in certain clothes.

Also, the first time she got in the club...she wasn't wearing anything like that, so why the need for the second outfit? I do like her hair though.

Hey Ms. Lurker, get out from behind that couch sweetie! I thought she was gorgeous too, I liked the look. Sure, it was a different look than what she had after she took the black crystal but I thnk it was done that way for a reason, they wanted to show a difference between "club" Beth and "vampire" (for a lack of a better word) Beth....both beautiful but in different ways. JMO FWIW. :)

Hehe - - I like it! If Mick thinks Beth looks good then she does, doesn't she? Seriously though - - isn't that the point in that scene? It's all about Mick looking at her, what he sees, and the way he looks at her does pretty much say it all. Whether we like the look is not what matters; it's Mick's reaction to it that tells the story.

Well, except that Beth didn't really dress herself... wardrobe did that... and while they usually did a magnificent job with Alex... they often did a less than stellar job with Sophia... and that's what this is really about...
