Am I the only one who thinks that scene in which grace has the photo above, looked like Mick was a cardboard cut-out standing there?
Every time I see it, I think that it doesn't look like it's really him standing there!

Too perfect?
Is there such a thing? Cause to me, here, he looks literally perfect.

No, not perfect.
I mean he literally looks like one of those cardboard cut-outs that you can take a picture next to.
Next time you watch A.D., check it out and see if you see the same thing I did.

It was a very odd stance and also a very oddly intense look. I have to admit when i saw it for the first time, I was kind of perplexed why Alex played it that way. He'd just spent the last hour fighting a 200 year old teenager and daydreaming about his ex-wife. And that leads to that look, how exactly?

Thank you SS, I was starting to feel that I had seen something different than everyone else!
It was just weird, how he stood there, stiff and not moving a muscle, something about the background made the whole thing just seem "off."

I think he had felt he had been near to defeat... the teen had been tougher than he expected, clearly, and had also succeeded in playing him, emotionally. And he had been trying to let go of Cora... yet she's the one he thought of. Then, by sheer fate alone, the teen died instead of Mick... I think it shook him up. So he did his job, he brought Ma and Pa Kettle back to their trampy daughter, but he was feeling intense feelings... and then he saw Beth and continued to feel strong stuff... but wasn't wanting to deal with them, so he turned and left.
That's how I always read it.
Nonetheless, that isn't why I like the picture. I just LIKE the picture. I REALLY like that picture.

Grace, you really have missed your calling as a blurb writer.

It was the final sentence that sealed the deal wasn't it? Admission of just loving the look of the man...
And I missed a lot of callings... I have focus issues...
Or as my friend says, "Grace is not all hung up on that whole completion thing."

Great grace, we will never get that new show pitched now!
I am kinda the same way, have great ideas, not so much on the follow-through sometimes.
Methinks we are in trouble.

Well perhaps those of us with 'focus issues' are best distracted with some new pretty promos from Sonata...sweet dreams all.
