I agree, Carol... and I can't help but believe that the St. Johns are really decent people, that they love their son dearly. And I assume they were very happy that he'd found the "right girl" at last. To have that hope turn to fear and loss is truly heartbreaking... and since the case was never solved, they never had a resolution to their pain. So much suffering was caused by Coraline's decision to turn him without preparing him.

Oh Alle, how heartbreaking! Mick's poor parents. Such a crushing unsolved mystery for them and all who loved him.

Sad story but unfortunately I'm sure it happened like this. Mick lost a lot on his wedding night.
