This is so lovely, Jen. You covered a lot of ground, from getting to know each other's Christmas traditions to Josef doing something nice, to Beth's work place and how Mick fit into it, to the music session at the lodge, and the danger of being a vampire, the gruesome story of how Mick helped research vampires and went to a dungeon, and skiing, and the big cabin that Beth explored of course, and then they got it as a present. I guess there are some missing scenes, too.
Great story!!!

Thank you so much for reading and you are very kind to leave a comment, too.

I guess I did cover a lot of ground. When I went in to fix some of my typos I quickly discovered that I had come dangerously close to the limit for story length and was unable to add much to what was there. I wanted to show Mick and Beth learning to be a couple, while maintaining their individual identities, discovering another identity--MiBeth, BeMick or MickBeth, and that Beth has already started adapting to Mick's particular issues, is continuing to do so, and is a positive force in his world.

Hope things were not too disjointed.

Thanks!

Jenna

Hi Jen!
I absolutely echo everything Alle says about this wonderful Christmas love story! :rose:
I had so many favorite parts in this beautiful tale, that it is hard to choose..... But, at the top of the list would be, the Christmas memories, the snowbound nightclub where Mick sings, the warmeth of Josef's kindness to his friends, and Mick skiing....reveling in his vampiric speed, power, and keen scenses .....sailing down the darkened slopes alone.....and loving it!
It was all wonderful, Jen. :flowers: Keep up the great work my friend!

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. You are always so kind and encouraging!

I just hope that this story is not singlehandedly responsible for several cases of insulin dependance, but I wanted to show them learning to be a couple and just enjoying being together.

I hope I didn't stretch things too thin.

Thanks!

Jenna

Hey, Jenna, I told you I would read that as soon as possible. It was almost as I expected after reading your Christmas poem, but just ...almost. This is the brightest, lightest Moonlight fanfic I have ever read. Maybe it was the snow, maybe the light of day, maybe it was the glass windows of the cabin.. or then maybe it was the whole atmosphere of the story that brought me out of the dark moonlight I always have in mind..Mick was skiing in the night, he sang and played the piano, Beth always searching around.. it was great to watch their relationship move forward so easily under the light...sharing things, memories and creating new ones for themselves. They now have a common life,and..property thanks to JK.. They almost seem like a couple next door, don't they? I do love a Christmas story in March, and you know, ...it has been snowing in Athens for the last two days...

What did he mean about the ring?..is he actually considering turning her? Or did I get it wrong?
Thanks Jenna, wonderful story.. :flowers:

Thank you, Maggatha! I really appreciate you wading through this (it's kinda long).

I really think that Mick would have gradually eased up in his resistance to turning Beth, as he fell more and more in love with her and came to value her companionship and love more than her very living heart. I totally recognize that Mick may vacillate on this from time to time, and that they may dance around the issue a little bit, but I think this is where things were headed.

You got what I was aiming for in this story precisely. I was not looking for lots of drama and tons or angst (other people write that much better than me, anyway). I just wanted to show them being together, being happy just with that, and enjoying their Christmas holiday as a couple. However, they aren't exactly the couple next door, are they? I think they both were longing for a little dose or normality, though.

Thanks for reading and leaving the lovely, lovely comment!

Jenna
