Redwinter, this was truly a special moment and you captured Mick's mindset perfectly. He took a risk because he found Coraline to be a full-blooded woman, not a toy, not a damsel in distress, and certainly not a girl. Maybe he was searching for someone strong enough to handle him, someone he could lean on to for a change. She played him, and maybe he wanted to be played, not be the one in control all the time. But it backfired, heavily.

Ok...I was so NOT going to read this before I got my own challenge fic up...but I couldn't resist. This was just a lovely little bit of deliciousness.

This...is Mick. It's exactly Mick. He knows Coraline's WAY out of his league, but he's going for it anyway.

cassysj, it seemed a little harsh - but Coraline had Mick's measure and knew it wouldn't deter him. I completely agree that Mick would not be the Mick we love without Coraline and everything that happened between them. That's not to say he wouldn't have been happier, but that's something we can only imagine.

Lucky, yeah Mick had that look in his eye - no way was he making ANY safety checks before diving in head first. Thanks for the read and the super comment.

So much truth and so many lies in just one shot! Poor Mick, he knew she was too much to handle and thought he could handle her..he thought he knew where this was going to end..
