This is obviously Josef's idea of how things would work out. :snicker: I love this--it's incredibly true to the original Dr. Seuss story. You're so good at keeping the feel and style of the original, and making it wonderfully Moonlighty too. :hearts: Thanks very much for this poem, dear Lilly. Once again--I find myself going :slaphead: that I never commented on this one either!

I don't usually bump my own fic... but, then again, this can hardly be called "fic."

Anyway, I just wanted to do something to mark Dr. Seuss' birthday today... Image :celebrate: ...and since that's the original reason I wrote this whatever-it-is, it seems fitting. In a warped kind of way.

Nothing warped about it, sweetie  this is pure genius and Dr. Seuss would be proud.

I think that you have got it down
His pace and cadence here we're found
I'm just a teensy sad to see
That Mick fell off the wagon...gee.

Shakes self....Okay, ahem. Much better now.

This was good in the first version but this is better!

You rock, Lilly!

You just do!

Jenna

Thank you, jen and Marigold :ghug: -- I really worked at trying to match the cadence syllable for syllable. :mdrama: Even stole my son's book for a while. :snicker:

I know I had read this before, but apparently didn't comment. (I was shy in the early days. Go figure. :snicker: )

This just made me smile ear to ear! And just from trying to write limericks, I can appreciate how much effort you must have put into this! It's terrific!

Thanks for bumping it! :ghug:
