I don't really care to watch the entire new epi but cannot miss the promp for Alex's next week

I'm not sure why CBS was messing with their usual viewing schedule this week. Maybe to try shows out in different time slots perhaps? Last night was messed up too. They put their Monday night comedies on at 8 and 8:30, NCIS at 9PM and them The Mentalist on at 10PM, plus they had The Mentalist on on Monday night as well.
So tonight, instead of a new CM episode at 9PM, there will be a repeat CM and then at 10PM, the new CM will be aired in place of Without a Trace. Interesting, huh? Maybe seeing how CM does at 10PM for next season?
I noticed CBS messed up this week also.
They pulled CSI: Miami on Monday and gave us The Mentalist two days in a row. Which is niiiice.
But now you're telling me I have to watch more CM episodes just in case I might miss the REAL one?
Anyway, from the CBS.com website, preview of Alex's The Big Wheel ...

I'm not sure what this episode 21 "Take a Miracle" is since I thought Alex's episode is #21.

The version of the Vincent clip on the CBS website seemed to be in higher quality than on the E site... or is that just me?

nope, you're right...if you listen carefully, you can even hear the FBI person describe the serial killer's MO - I didn't catch this in the other clip

I'm guessing that tonight's promo is going to be totally different that the clip of Alex released late last Friday night. This one will show more of the primary cast of BAU agents and a bit of the UNSUB, aka "Vincent". I've got the DVR set to record and I can't wait to check it out!

I am interested to see if Alex gets more screen time in this ep than the usual guest stars do on CM.

I'd say that's a definitely
YES, Fleur.

This one is supposedly being told from Vincent's point of view. Which, from what I understand, is the first time that's been done on Criminal Minds. I'd have to say that's true, cuz I'm a huge fan of Criminal Minds and haven't missed any episodes this season.

Since this is supposed to be told from the killer's POV, then I would say, yes, we're going to see more of him that usual CM episodes. That's why the CM fans have been bitching about this episode. In the past, when they had killer centric eppys, the regular cast was seen very little, thus the reason for the bitching and moaning.

Didn't know about the cast complaints. Though, I can understand them being a bit upset (trying really hard to put myself in their shoes). I am gonna be very selfish this one time and say: Sorry, but I am thrilled!!
I've only watched CM once, so it was difficult for me to get a vibe on how involved the guest stars are, especially since they already have a decent sized cast.

there was an episode a few weeks back that had Jason Alexander as the guest unsub (serial killer, again), in which the unsub got a lot more air time than normal. I believe he directed the episode as well. I found this particular episode appealing in that the unsub was trying to out-psych the BAU, messing with their minds, as it were. It was pretty effective, causing one of the BAU to wonder about his abilities. I think the reason that it was well received by the CM fans was that it had the unsub focus his attentions on two members of the BAU, but everyone was still involved.

Any guesses how many threads we will go through after we've actually viewed the episode next week??!! Sometimes I think these people need to pay us for the amount of time and energy we spend (happily) sleuthing this stuff out!
....or at least give us a co-producing credit....
