I'm not sure but it looks like what he was wearing when he rescued Beth in NSTAV so could it be a promo shot for that?

It does look like one of the early ones... it's got the noir lighting effects that they later ditched...

Ok so forgive the ignorance... So the way promo pics work is they set up a scene that is not gonna be used in the show, and shoot it as if there were some action taking place?

Cause in these supposed ep 2 shots, he doesn't look like he actually did in the show scene and in that last one, he lacks the blood running all down his chinny chin-chin...

Why don't they just use screen caps as promos?

And recall I did say to forgive the ignorance... totally never cared about this kinda stuff before...

Grace, I have no clue about this stuff. From what I can gather, the promo pics are taken during the shoot but are posed and the shots taken by a stills photographer.

I'm sure someone will jump in to correct me though

I'm not sure myself as some of the promo pics look like they came from the episode and others look staged

Hmmm.... that seems odd to me... why wouldn't they just have the still-photog on-site as they filmed and shoot pics that actually will appear IN the show?

Not that I mind... just seems inefficient to me... tho perhaps they have some very good reason for it.
