It really was great to hear this again in LLF. It adds so much to an already emotional scene. Will always make you cry. :hankie:

It's sort of funny that I didn't really notice this music the first time on LLF but definitely noticed it on Fated to Pretend. Actually I couldn't at first understand why it was called "Saving Josh" since I didn't remember it in that regard. But since then I have seen LLF at least two more times and definitely notice the music. It is a haunting melody and one of my favorites from the show.

Saving Josh is also played in other scenes: In FTP when Mick saves Bonnie from jumping off the Rossyln Hotel

Also in Click when Mick asks Beth to the Arbor Bistro.

It might be in even a few more scenes I haven't notice yet. It's very subliminal at times.

This song is so beautiful. I pulled Trevor Morris up on ITunes. This song is not there, but apparently he does the music for the HBO show the Tudors. There is a lot of his music there that is just as beautiful!!!!! :hearts:

I thought we had a link to Trevor Morris's site here, but on checking, we don't. Time to rectify that:

You can listen to Saving Josh in beautiful quality :hearts:

Trevor's post about Saving Josh goes a long way to explaining why and how he wrote something so beautiful - not just because he's a brilliant composer, but he totally got this show and its characters:

Trevor's comments were very insightful. Thank you for posting. After watching Love Lasts Forever last night, I realized again how important the music was to Moonlight. It really helped make that scene. Thank you again.

Red, thanks for posting this site....this was the first time I'd heard the piece in its entirety.....the combination between the strings, primarily viola and cello, and piano created an incredible atmosphere for the tragedy of Josh's death and later Mick's re-turning.

Beautiful work

Given the often clumsy way music was used in 3R, and now re-viewing ML thru the CW... it really does make me appreciate how incredible Trevor Morris's gift is... the music enhanced the action or the mood, never interfered with it, never negated or distracted from it... and made what we were viewing on screen all the more memorable.

Beautifully put, grace. Music was so important to Moonlight, and so carefully done. Hearing the (unfortunate) effects of poorly done music has given me even more appreciation for the wonderful way it was done on our show. :hearts:

I've always felt that Trevor Morris was worthy of a fan letter. The music was SO important to our show. However, I never have gotten around to it.

Maybe now would be the right time - since LLF just aired. I'll put that on my list for this weekend.

I realized today that Trevor Morris didn't have his own thread in the "Behind the Scenes Talent" section of our board, so I made him one. :rose:

There's news about some of his current projects.

I was out a lot of yesterday so I didn't get to see most of the marathon, but I did watch FTP in which "Saving Josh" was featured in both the scene with the girl about to jump as well as the re-turning scene. It is such a haunting melody. The music in Moonlight was absolutely amazing and contributed so much to the wonder of the show. I wish 5-0 had some of this music magic but I just haven't heard it.

So I found this thread and I got really excited when I saw a link to download "Saving Josh" from but unfortunately it no longer works; can anybody help a girl out?
I don't know why Trevor Morris hasn't put it up for sale yet!

Trevor's webpage doesn't seem to be active anymore, unfortunately, but "Saving Josh" is available for streaming here: http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Saving+Josh/3GY5B9?src=5 and there are several YouTube videos with the music as well.
