I hafta admit, when the show first started, I really DID think they'd killed Josef off...

ANd I was panicked. I already had fallen in love with the bromance... I was crushed at the thought they had killed the "old" guy...
So :phew: , when Mick opens his office door and there the grinning fool is, in Mick's robe, no less... :rolling:

And I loved that gobsmacked look on poor Mick's face...

I just couldn't believe Martan got the drop on Mick like he did. I know he's a born-to-kill assassin but, come ON!

Found it interesting how Josef looked so much like a little kid getting scolded by his father when Mick lit into him....

I love the way Beth pokes Mick in the arm when she announces she, too, is going to NY, to stop HIM from doing something stupid. :snicker:
It's such a playful, and familiar, gesture... which is gonna make it all the more painful the way she then pulls away from him later... :sigh:

Notice, too, that he doesn't object to her going with him....

When I watch that scene (of Beth poking Mick) I often wonder if that was in the script or if it just came instinctually to Sophia.

I'd like to think it was the latter....they (Sophia and Alex) seemed like good friends off screen

No he doesn't... in fact, and it's hard to tell, as he's not facing the camera, but he seems to grin when she does it... :flirt:

And I gotta say, I've actually managed to eat popcorn while watching Alex's movie, Feed, but when Mick and Beth go see Whitley in NY, and that old man coughs up that hairball, I totally gag. In fact, now that I know it's coming, I never watch that part of the scene anymore... :puke:

And now the heart break. He tries to take the first step 'to make it work' and she pulls away....the more I think about this, she wasn't concerned about how she left things with Josh, she was just afraid of what she really wanted and what that might possibly mean.

You're too funny, grace.

It does look like he grins at her and you'd miss it if you weren't as fanatical as us. Which is why it has that unscripted feel. Like Sophia threw it in and that was an honest reaction from Alex.

Josef's soliloquy gets me every time.

The direction isn't in the script, but that's not to say that it's not something the director asked for.

** Another note of interest -- it was supposed to be Carl Davis in that scene, but Brian White was unavailable.

Agh! Beth chokes. He hurts. (And thus denying us a really cool scene of MickBeth partying on the town... grrrrrr).

But Cora's first thought after returning and awakening, revealing the depth of HER obsession (with which I identify), is of Mick.
I became a Cora girl with this ep. Beth broke my heart... Cora, even with all her crazy, kept her eyes on the Prize.
I appreciated that.

Too bad Brian wasn't available....that would have made SB the only second episode (I think) where all six recurring characters appeared. I think NSTAV had all six as well, although Coraline shows up in flashback.
