I so love this, and I love that the interviewer just lets him ramble on a bit. He is so unguarded, and so energetic.
I love how he explains why he can't read too much about the show while working. And "Mick St. John and Beth Turner exist for the fans, and they exist for me, otherwise there is no point..." I loved that.

I remember seeing that, after the PCA....

DC, you're welcome to use my little write up. I wish I could relay the emotion of the evening, but words would never do it justice. And when Alex walked out on that small stage in that very intimate theatre, well he owned us from the time he walked in until he got up and left. He was charming, handsome, sweet and full of life. Soon after Kristen introduced him, he walked in and actually sort of bowed to the audience, as if to thank us. He joked around with the cast and the audience, making all us feel like he really cared. He was very relaxed, as was the entire panel. It was a very warm and intimate atmosphere, what with the small theatre only holding about 100 and everyone must of felt like they were "right there" in the front. There really wasn't a bad seed in the house. We found out much later that several of the writers of Moonlight had been upstairs in the balcony, listening to us and absorbing the feedback. Like I said above, its a night I will not soon forgot.

I do have one wish now. That when Three Rivers gets a pickup by CBS, that Paley will again honor the show by having a panel with the director and cast. Now that would be super cool and since I'm a Paley member, you can bet I'll be there, no matter what day!

I just love the Paley pics! Alex's appearance that night was a mixture of Alex and Mick. When he walked out, I thought "OMG! There's Mick!!!" But then he started goofing around with Sophia and Jason, throwing his head back and laughing and doing all those little things we've come to love....and he was Alex! So that night, we got both Mick and Alex. Looking at Jason, I never really saw Josef. Nor did I see much of Beth in Sophia, especially since she wasn't wearing one of the fugly wigs.

Susie, I know I have been a pest but do you have your own pictures form the Paley?

I do have pics! But we couldn't use flash, so mine didn't turn out so good...too dark. I'll go back into my photobucket and see if I can find any worth posting. I also have a very short video that I took of Alex right after he realized that he'd called Moonlight "his show" and he realized that Joel was sitting right beside him. I'll go dig it up and post it for everyone if I can figure out how to link it to my photobucket.

Okay, these are the ones I took at Paley. Be warned, they are no where near as good as some of the other ladies' pics. For some reason, my digital camera didn't want to take very good pics that night. And since I couldn't use a flash, it was even worse.

I just checked and I've got like 8-10 clips. Some a bit longer than others, most around 25-30 seconds each. But the one where he says to Joel "sorry, daddy" is priceless! With the exception of this clip, I don't think anyone has ever seen them but me. I'd be happy to share them, but I'm wondering if I could get in trouble for posting them to YouTube? I ask because video was strickly forbidden at the event. So how on earth did my digital camera take video?!
