I know just how you feel, Red. It was that scene that made me realize that the show wasn't just bagging on a pretty vamp - Alex could act! Also, I was surprised and relieved that Beth was in on the secret so soon. I thought they were going to drag that out.

I know. I was amazed that they let her find out so soon. And pleased that it wasn't going to be weeks of will-she-won't-she-find-out.

But yes, Alex, that scene, be still my heart.

I definitely think that is the scene that got most people. I knew I'd found a fabulous show with that one scene alone
I also love that they didn't drag out Beth finding out about him. It was refreshing

That scene got to me in a big way. It highlighted Mick's vunerability, and Alex's acting--off the charts. The shaking, the way his eyes looked.

Plus, he was kinda crouching...
