Ooooh Simon Russell Beale is the new Home Secretary (he's a verrrry famous Shakespearean actor here) and he is wonderful.

Wow! What an opening. High drama and some heart-squeezing emotion and Beth Bailey is totally kickass.

So I was chatting with my dad this evening - he's a huge Spooks fan, but knows nothing of Moonlight or my adoration for all things Moonlight-related - he thoroughly enjoyed last night's episode and randomly mentioned that he "really likes the new girl - she was great".

:hearts: :hearts: (for Pop and Sophia)

Those are wonderful reviews! Good for Sophia! :hearts:

But, oh, lord... :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: why does this remind me of Josef?
Spoiler:
...he'd felt forced to bump off the previous Home Secretary (Robert Glenister) with a bottle of "quaffable" but fatally poisonous Scotch...

That was wonderful! You really got a sense that the interviewers were fans of the show and could hold an intelligent conversation about it. They seemed genuinely interested in the answers to their questions, and that attitude has to put their guests at ease. Sophia was delightful -- she looked so relaxed and happy. :hearts:

Red, I think I would like this show, and I would love to see Sophia play this character. Thanks for sharing all this info.

Does anyone know if there's a way to see this in the U.S. (is it maybe on/coming to BBC America)? If not, is there another source someone could point me to by PM? I don't have time right now, but will after November and would love to see some of this.

The show has a chequered history in term of airing in the US - mainly because an hour of TV here is just that - a full hour. In order to accommodate commercials, the episodes were edited down to 45minutes when it aired on A&E. And then they wonder why no-one watched.

BBC America only showed the first four series - for similar reasons. It airs on BBC Canada - but that's no good to you. It also used to air on PBS but I checked their schedule and couldn't find anything. I'll do some hunting around online and see what I can find.
