Alex O'Loughlin Takes a Bite Out of Crime

It's not the series that long ago was promised to him through a CBS talent deal, but it's something.
Alex O'Loughlin is returning to CBS by way of a guest-starring gig on Criminal Minds.
The Moonlight star, a show rep confirms for TVGuide.com, will play a serial killer in a late-April episode that's got something extra going for it besides a dreamy Aussie. The outing will be told from the point of view of the baddie, as his latest crime and its ensuing manhunt unfolds.
At last month's Winter TCA Press Tour, CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler had indicated that O'Loughlin fans might see him back on their screens soon, though the ideal, of course, is for the actor to front his own series again. But we just checked in (again) for any movement on O'Loughlin's talent deal with the Eye, and there is still nothing to report.

baby steps, indeed. But at least they are steps. The more his gorgeous talented mug gets on the screen, the better his chances of long-term employment. And this is from his POV---which means much more screen time.

Hmmm... not totally liking that... why don't they give him a series?

A whole year for a one hour show... other actors get that without the indenture...

But, you know what? We had no idea this CM deal was going to happen, so it stands to reason that he could have a few other things in the mix that we don't know about, as well.

They signed him at CBS, they want to use him, they KNOW what they have in him. Because if they don't, someone else will snatch him up---and I ain't talkin' about just me.

:shock: When I was in second grade, my classmates and I had to each come up with our own version of "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", and illustrate it and everything. But wow, that is by far the most clever adaption of that story. I'm hooked! (runs off to read)

Can't wait to see him updating his blog about all of this.
