Lola: A Josef POV Drabble (PG-13)

Post by librarian_7 »

When Mick told Josef that Lola was dead, he certainly seemed to be in shock. He tried to put a philosophical spin on it, but it threw him, badly.

Lola: A Josef POV Drabble

“…When you lived as long as Lola, it tricks you into thinking you’re above it all, that you really are immortal.”

Mick doesn’t believe me. He can’t conceive of the centuries, the endless nights of darkness. Lola was a flame—she’d burn you as soon as warm you—but she was a light in the darkness.

First time I saw her, she was on deck, cutlass in one hand, shouting orders, her hair flying like a pirate flag. She had blood on her face, and she was beautiful.

Never thought I’d live to see her dead.

“And then it ends.”

yes.... he absolutely had feelings for her. maybe not the purity of the love he felt for sarah, but it was something special. she out josef'd josef I think - and that's what he really enjoyed. he's a lonelier man for her passing.
