Author's Note: Had to "borrow" Fleur's disclaimer since I have no idea what I'm doing here. Anyway, I was going to title this, "First and Last Fic Ever" but that seemed overly dramatic. As I said in the Challenge thread, I thought this was a graphics challenge, but when I read Lilly's opening post, this character came to mind and wouldn't shut up. For all I know, someone else here has also had this thought, so sorry if I'm retreading old territory. The funny thing is, I was just going to jot it down for myself, to get it out of my brain, but when I got done blurting, it was only one word over the length limit. It was easy to cut one word (I cut dozens every day at work ), so this was a challenge meant for me, I guess (though I'm still a little gun-shy about pulling the trigger for such an insignificant piece).

The hunt is so on

He was gonna be different this year.

Work out a little more… maybe even buy a Wii.

No "letting in the daylight," mind you, but getting out a little more – he was willing to risk that.

Blame it on the dame with the cat.

They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but Logan was long past responding to that flirtation. No, the cat was a momentary distraction.

The real attraction was the blonde. Beth.

This is great! So glad this plot bunny took up residence in your head. I'm glad you didn't title it "First and Last" or whatever you were rambling about, bc this way you have left it open for the muses to strike again.

Logan said, 'cool' and there was no doubt from his expression that he thought it was very cool indeed.

Beth was probably used to those reactions in men, and so was not disturbed by it. She would probably have been disturbed by its absence.

Wonder if Logan will ever meet Sam from Buzzwire. Maybe they have already crossed paths in cyberspace.
