Mmmmm LOVE this thread. Like some of you have mentioned, I've been fortunate enough to have some of my favourite Moonlight-inspired songs made into videos.

For me, the ultimate Mick/Cora song is "Walk Away" by Cast, made into a beautiful video by coco: http://cocosfanvids.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... -away.html

You've heard all they've got to say
You looked but turned away
Just walk away walk away
You've said all you got to say
Now the words just slip away
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say, what they say
You gotta walk away

If you've played all the games they've played
You played them yesterday
Just walk away, walk away
If you've been, where they wanna go, seen all they've got to show
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say, what they say
You gotta walk away

And now you must believe me, you never lose your dream
So now you must believe me, we never lose our dreams

If you proved all there is to prove, got nothing left to use
Just walk away, walk away
If you've done, all there is to do, ain't nothing left for you
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say, what they say
Walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say, what they say
You gotta walk away today

What an amazing thread. So many songs inspire Moonlight to me and one such song is Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. That song sings Mick to me.

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

Thank you for all the lovely vid mentions. I love putting ML images to lyrics so what better songs to work with than those that inspire ML in others. :hearts:

Coco, I absolutely LOVE Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, and it is Mick all over.

I was just clicking through the music on my laptop and remembered this fantastic thread. I stumbled over Anastacia's I Dreamed of You, and surprise, surprise it reminded me of Mick and Beth.

You walked in the room, and time was standing still
Knew you were my destiny, by the way you made me feel
Only you in my life forever and a day
You’re everything I ever imagined my love could be
You for me

Like the stars need the sky
And the river needs its rain
Like an eagle need’s its wings
And the fire needs a flame
Like the sun needs a day
And the night needs the moon
Like the air that I breathe
That’s how I,
I dreamed you

It’s hard to explain but when you know you know
I was so amazed by you, you had me at hello
I feel you in my heart, my body mind and soul
It only took a moment to take my breath away
Will you stay

Like the stars need the sky
And the river needs its rain
Like an eagle need’s its wings
And the fire needs a flame
Like the sun needs a day
And the night needs the moon
Like the air that I breathe
That’s how I dreamed of you
I dreamed you

You and I, our love can’t be denied
There’s nothing I can do, nothing I can say
My heart it always knew
That’s how I dreamed of you

Like the stars need the sky
And the river needs its rain
Like an eagle need’s its wings
And the fire needs a flame
Like the sun needs a day
And the night needs the moon
Like the air that I breathe
That’s how I, dreamed of you

Like the stars need the sky
And the river needs its rain
Like an eagle need’s its wings
And the fire needs a flame
Like the sun needs a day
And the night needs the moon
Like the air that I breathe
That’s how I, dreamed you
Like the air that I breathe
That’s how I, dreamed of you
I dreamed you

Had to comment that this is a key ML song for me...but I took it in a Josef/Sarah viewpoint. It seems so very spot on for Sleeping Beauty. (And there was an awesome fanvid made by Allara, back right after SB aired, that used it. I'm not sure that one is still available, alas!)

Think about Josef and Sarah and that first verse..."I'd give up forever to touch you/Cause I know that you feel me somehow..."

What could be more perfect?

Lucky

I posted this on the Singing Mick thread, but it's such a Moonlighty song that I wanted to put it here too.

Jim Bianco (who did the wonderful song, "To Hell With the Devil," that was played in 12:04AM) singing "I Got a Thing For You" on Craig Ferguson's show. I warn you that his body movements are kind of distracting, so you might want to just listen to it (although he is wearing very Mick-like clothes): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f76Y3NzpDsE

This is a "6 degrees of Moonlight" thing, but I wanted to share. I've been listening to Jason Mraz album "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things" album a lot lately, and I just love his stuff. Particularly, "Lucky" (I canNOT imagine why that one's a favorite...it's a mystery to me!), "If It Kills Me," "I'm Yours" and "Butterfly."

The ML connection? Well, when our Jason was playing in the BMW golf tournament a couple of years ago, I watched a bunch of the coverage, in the (as it turned out, vain) hope of seeing some footage of him. While I was watching, they were using tracks from that album as background music for the leaderboard scores...and I really liked the music, so I got the album.

I'm Yours

Lucky

If It Kills Me

Butterfly

I really love the lyrics of "Butterfly." Very hot!

Oh my gosh, I loooove Jason Mraz! Thanks for sharing those, Lucky.

And here's another "degree"... one of the skateboarders (a guy) in the "I'm Yours" video has a tramp stamp. Another fine example  of a manly man looking good (and very masculine) with that kind of tat.

Got to say, yup, I noticed the tramp stamp, too. Funny how that works.

This just screams to me of Mick acknowledging his love for Beth and how she is changing how he sees himself. The video I'm linking to is the lyrics to the song. I think this is ripe for a MickBeth fan video.

Agreed! And I had planned to do something else today, but now I have to vid. Alas, poor me! ;)
You think anyone would mind if I tried my hand at that one even if it's already done before?
